		Photographic Archive 1985 – 1996

SITE HISTORY

The Great Gulf Wilderness automatic photographic monitoring system was installed in September 1985 at the Youth Conservation Corps camp at Camp Dodge, southwest of Gorham, NH. The camera viewed the Mount Jefferson, 7.8 kilometers to the west until September 1996.

Photographs were taken at 09:00, 12:00 and 15:00 daily from 1985 through 1996. Over 4,600 35mm color slides of the Mount Jefferson Vista were reviewed to develop the provided historical photographic archive.

Site-specific historical archive products include:

• Spectrum Frequencies - tabular visual range and cumulative frequency summaries for each range of visibility spectrum.
• Image Gallery - select images representative of observed air quality conditions for the summarized scene monitoring site.

Also included is Air Program Information describing visibility measurements, causes of poor visibility, and Web addresses of related air quality data programs.
