SITE HISTORY
The Great Gulf Wilderness automatic photographic monitoring
system was installed in September 1985 at the Youth Conservation Corps camp at
Camp Dodge, southwest of Gorham, NH. The
camera viewed the Mount Jefferson, 7.8 kilometers to the west until September
1996.
Photographs were taken at 09:00, 12:00 and 15:00 daily from 1985 through
1996. Over 4,600 35mm color slides of
the Mount Jefferson Vista were reviewed to develop the provided historical
photographic archive.
